I. What's new in this version of the script?
Version 1.1 of the TelePort 56 x2 OT/PPP script includes support for all V.90 speed increments.
II. Who should use this script?
Use this script only if you have a TelePort 56 x2 modem that has been upgraded to V.90 and you use Open Transport/PPP to dial your Internet Service Provider.
This script cannot be used with TelePort 56 K56flex modems, Global Village 56K PC Cards, or K56flex modems that have been upgraded to V.90.
III. Installing and selecting the script
1. Copy the script into the Modem Scripts folder inside the Extensions folder on your hard drive.
2. Open the Modem control panel. In the Modem setup pop-up menu, select GV x2/V.90 ARA 2.1/3.0/OT-PPP.
3. Close the Modem control panel, and Save changes.
IV. Additional information
• This script can be used with Apple Remote Access 3.0
• This script does not provide a workaround for the "2-minute disconnect" firmware incompatibility with some ISP backend modems. If you encounter this behavior you should continue to use the GlobalVillage x2 V90 Workaround script
